I attended that media conference at Queens Park. You can actually see me at 1:13 in the video. I was sitting and hearing Holly Papassay and Toni Grann share their experiences with the media. I am pleasantly that NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo also attended the media conference and she sat beside me. I vote NDP. I vote NDP because I am aware that they support Ombudsman oversight of CAS in Ontario. Ontario is the only province in Canada not allowing it’s Ombudsman to investigate systemic issues that arise with Ontario’s Children's Aid.

I have a untold story about me experiencing discrimination while in foster care. I was discriminated against based on the fact that I wanted to go to church and was raised catholic prior to being made a crown ward. I experienced religious discrimination. Religious discrimination is valuing or treating a person or group differently because of what they do or do not believe. Religious discrimination occurs when you are treated less favourably than someone else because of your religion, your philosophical belief or lack of religion or belief. The foster parents and group home staff and other foster kids would treat me differently and try and punish me and mock me for going to church.
I was abused prior to going into foster hell. As soon as I became a foster kid I was already a victim of abuse and would have been entitled to a claim with the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and the government would have been in a position to make that claim or help you make that claim. So when the government became my parents..all those so called good social workers and advocates and group home workers and CAS workers and child and youth workers would have been in a position to make a claim on my behalf. Why did none of the workers do that on my behalf? Any competent worker would have filed a claim on my behalf when I I became a crown ward and would have saved that money for me until I aged out of the system at age 18 years old. At a minimum those workers should have told my mother and grandmother or aunt and uncles that that needed to be done.
